Ten Contour Weight Loss Tips

10 Tips to help you succeed in your weight  loss and help you obtain
the Ultimate Body!

1. Drink More Water
- Start every day with an 8 oz. glass of water and continue to drink
an 8 oz. glass of water every two hours until bedtime
   (equals one gallon of water)
- Water is necessary for lubrication of your joints
- Water helps to flush out your kidneys and rid your body of toxic
     substances
- Water helps your body maintain its volume of blood.
- When you are dehydrated your blood volume drops and your energy
   level decreases.
Don’t wait until you are thirsty.
- Remember to drink 8 oz. of water every 2 hours

2. Always keep healthy snacks on hand
Fill a small Ziploc bag with almonds or walnuts, apple slices or low fat
string cheese.

3. Rest is essential for good health
Insufficient sleep can result in physical and mental problems.
Adequate rest enables the mind to think more clearly and is essential for
overall good health

4. Eating speeds up the metabolism and helps burn more resting calories.
Eat every 3 hours.  Cortisol is the stress hormone that comes from not eating
and puts your body in a starvation mode.  Eating every 3 hours helps lower
Cortisol levels and burn “Belly” fat first.
Do NOT skip meals.

5. Reduce stress in your life.
Think positive thoughts.  Meditate.  Keep yourself busy; for example:
Go for a walk, listen to music, read a book, get a massage, visit a friend.
Try to avoid people who are difficult and have negative thoughts.

6. Avoid excess alcohol consumption.
Alcohol consumption causes the release of sugars and increased
carbohydrate cravings.  Fat molecules bind to alcohol slowing the
breakdown of fat.

7. Exercise More.
Walking, jogging, running, biking, elliptical, swimming or anything
cardiovascular to increase your heart rate.  Add a variety to your workout
to keep from getting bored.  We want you to tone your muscles, not bulk up.
Muscle weighs more than fat.

8. Monitor your fat intake.
Avoid fried food, fast foods or any food high in fat content.  Dairy products
such as: cheese, milk, cottage cheese, margarine, etc…can be eaten in low
fat or fat free forms.

9. Use sugar substitutes, such as SplendaTM
Excess sugar consumption should be avoided.  Foods high in sugar are fast
releasing, which causes an increase in blood glucose levels and are eventually
converted to fat.
Read product nutritional labels with care.
Most foods that are labeled “Low in fat” are often high in carbohydrates
and/or sugars.

10. Live a healthy lifestyle.
A combination of the above will help ensure that you succeed in your weight
loss goals.
